Know more about Nimi Ravindranath

Hailing from the beautiful state of Kerala, Nimi Ravindranath, an artist, dancer and social worker, began her foray into the field of Art at a very young age. She is self-taught and her palette has a wide range of colours, concepts and images. Colours and nature have impressed and inspired her and this can be seen in her works as she has dabbled in various mediums which include oils, acrylic, water colour, glass, pencil and charcoal, etc.

Her early canvases were mostly figurative and dominated by bright colours and sharp outlines. George Stubbs, Monet, Rembrandt, Anjolie Ela Menon, to name a few, were her role models. Gradually over the years, she has changed her style and matured as an artist and ventured into impressionism, cubism as well as modern art and has had art shows across India and abroad as well.

Further her works aren't just an outlet of self-expression but also a service towards society and this led to the formation of the Nakshatra Art Foundation whose objective is to help the underprivileged (especially children & women) and she has had exhibitions every year since 2001, year after year, with a different theme each time and part of the proceeds have been given for a cause.

Presently her works adorn the walls of many residences, hotels (in India and abroad) and many Clubs too.

Lastly the following quote truly expresses her passion towards the arts :
"A good painting to me has always been like a friend. It keeps me company, comforts & inspires".
